Start with the island connection, then choose the tour
The resort identifies Simi Báez as its mainland arrival pier and describes an approximately ten-minute boat crossing to the island. This is the resort's arrival information, not a confirmed timetable for independent excursions. Ask your resort Ambassador about outbound connections, the mainland meeting point and the last suitable return for your date. Share those details with MySamana before a tour is agreed; direct dock access for outside operators has not been verified.
Los Haitises or whale watching: check the actual departure
A bay-focused excursion can be worth considering, but the island location does not mean the tour boat automatically collects you at the resort. Confirm where you join, whether a road transfer is required and how the route returns you to the agreed connection. Whale watching is seasonal and depends on operating conditions; ask about your dates before building the rest of the day around it.
A mainland day needs room for both crossings
For El Limón or a private peninsula itinerary, include the island connection, mainland road journey, activity and return connection in one plan. Allow a margin between independently arranged services. Avoid combining too many distant stops when you have a fixed island return. Share walking restrictions and children's ages so the proposed route fits the group rather than only the available hours.
You are already staying on Cayo Levantado
A standard Cayo Levantado beach trip is usually aimed at visitors arriving from elsewhere. It should not be the automatic recommendation for a resort guest already on the island. Focus instead on experiences that add something different to your stay. Resort guest transfers, public beach boats and excursion boats are separate arrangements; ask who is responsible for every leg, its cost and the weather-related fallback.
