Use the bay location to shape your shortlist
Los Haitises and Cayo Levantado are useful options to compare when planning a day around the bay. They offer different experiences: mangrove and cave scenery on one route, an island beach visit on the other. Choose what interests your group and ask about boat time, boarding arrangements and the full day away from the hotel. A view of the bay is not a guarantee of a short or direct boat trip.
Puerto Bahía marina is not every tour's departure point
The property has a marina setting, but an outside excursion may use a different harbour. Confirm the departure location before deciding how to get there. If departure from Puerto Bahía is proposed, ask whether marina permission and operator access are arranged. If another harbour is used, have the road transfer, meeting instructions and return to The Bannister included in the plan.
A private peninsula day is a separate kind of outing
A private route can combine selected mainland stops without committing to a standard boat programme. Discuss whether you prefer scenery, town time or a waterfall visit, and agree the route before adding multiple places. El Limón involves a specific trail and walking conditions; Las Terrenas and Las Galeras are different parts of the peninsula. Ask which stops are realistic within your available time.
Make the pickup and return explicit
Send the full property name, date, party size and preferred experience. Ask whether the meeting point is at the hotel, the marina or another harbour, and whether transport is shared or private. Journey estimates should be given for the confirmed route, including additional pickups where relevant. No hotel-specific vehicle access, marina departure agreement or fixed travel time has been verified for this guide.
